Mike Tyson’s Biggest Regret

25 November 2010
Mike Tyson’s Biggest Regret

In a recent interview, boxer Mike Tyson revealed his life’s biggest regret.

It was not biting Evander Holyfield's ear, which was still one of the craziest things I've seen on TV. Nor was his biggest regret that classy tribal tattoo on his face.

Instead, Mike Tyson's biggest regret was not taking the time to sit down and smoke a fat blunt with the late rapper Tupac Shakur.

Honestly, I did not know that Tyson and Shakur had been such close buds, but apparently this year there will be documentary about Tupac's life, and Mike Tyson plays a huge role in the future film.

Tyson reveals that he and Pac became friends because they shared similar lifestyles, including an affinity for money, women, and trouble, including both serving time. Tyson also commented that he chooses to play Tupac’s music during his entrances to fights as a tribute to the late rapper.

Tupac Shakur died because he was shot after leaving one of Mike Tyson's fights in 1996. Tyson says he holds that guilt in his heart, and often thinks that if Tupac hadn't come to that fight, he may not have been shot that evening. So, why didn't Tyson toke up with Tupac? Apparently Tyson rarely smoked, and he didn’t want it to get out that he partook in the festivities: "I never did it, and I wish I did" he said in an interview.

It is a nice memory, and I am sorry Tyson didn’t get to burn one with Tupac…but Mike, are you sure your biggest regret isn’t that face tattoo? Just sayin'...
