More Highschool Students Smoke Marijuana, Not Ciggarettes In The Past 30 Days

Good news!  Ciggarette smoking among teenagers is not increasing, according to a new survey just released by the National Institute of Health.

Almost 50,000 students in grades 8,10, and 12 were surveyed.

Among 12th graders, 19.% of the students admitted to smoking a cig within the last 30 days.

4:20 is apparently becoming a busier time for students though, as more students admitted to smoking marijuana within the past 30 days, about 21.4 percent.  It is the first time in over 10 years that marijuana use has been higher than ciggs.  I wonder why??

Students arer also drinking less, too, or at least binge drinking less, according to the survey, which is drinking 5 drinks really fast.

Interesting stuff!
